Lies (People Believe) About Animals illustrated by Fred Leavitt wins three prestigious national awards: 'Science Teachers of America Award for Outstanding Books', 'Best Children s Books of 2014' and 'Amazon's Editors Favorite Books of the Year'.

"This fascinating winner of the Science Teachers of America Award for outstanding books combines commonly accepted 'lies' people believe about many animals with Fred Leavitt's amazing black-and-white photographs. Photographed on white paper, the reader sees every quill on the porcupines back, light glinting in the alligator's eye, the scales on a coiled snake, 'hairs' on the tarantula. This book fascinates, delights and informs even the most reluctant reader". Amazon.com
