in Sebring and provides 24 hour-a-day advanced life support and pre-hospital emergency medical care for a population of roughly 90,000 residents throughout

County
.
The EMS Department also provides standby coverage at local events. In fact,
EMS
provided standby coverage for 187 events at the Sebring Raceway during 2004, which resulted in $131,686 of extra revenue for the county.
EMS
responds to approximately 13,000 calls each year and maintains the highest state of readiness and is dedicated to minimizing emotional, physical and economic loss during a health emergency.
