Gary Mikulecky is the Director of the Ag Extension Office. Hebegan his varied career as a specialist in the Army, serving in Okinawafrom 1967-1971. From there he moved to Lake Park , MN and operated asmall grains and row crop farm for ten years after which he was hired asthe Acting County Extension Agent for the University of Minnesota . In2001, Gary was hired by the University of Florida to serve as HighlandsCounty 's Extension Director of Livestock. Gary holds a Bachelors ofScience in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry from the University ofMinnesota and a Masters of Education in Agricultural Ed also from theUniversity of Minnesota . He is a member of the National Association ofCounty Agricultural Agents.
