Ramon obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from
Florida
International
University
in 1991. He graduated with honors and earned his Professional Engineering License in 1997. He was employed by the California Department of Transportation, the Florida Department of Transportation, and in 1996, the Highlands County Board of
County
Commissioners
hired Ramon as a Civil Engineer I. In 1997, he Ramon was promoted to Civil Engineer II and just one year later was again promoted to
County
Engineer
.
Ramon is Florida Association of County Engineers and Road Superintendent (FACERS) Director. He is also a member of the National Association of County Engineers (NACE) and the American Association of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He is both a Trustee and member of the Finance Committee at
Southside
Baptist
Church
.
