The County's risk management program strives to protect against the consequences of accidental losses, to preserve its assets and public service capabilities, and reduce of the total cost of operations through loss prevention. To the greatest extent possible, it seeks to maintain a work environment in which employees as well as the public can enjoy safety and security in the course of their daily pursuits. These programs are administered by Mr. Thomas Bowman, Risk Management Coordinator.
The County provides an excellent spectrum of employee benefits including employer provided health, dental and life insurances, an Employee Assistance Program, as well as a Flexible Benefits (Section 125) and Deferred Compensation (Section 457) Programs. In addition, employees may select life and catastrophic disability insurance programs from several authorized vendors. These programs are administered through Mrs. Sherri Bennett, Insurance Specialist.
