Treasa Handley began her career in 1984 with
Highlands
County
as a permit clerk with the Building Department. She advanced to Chief Permit Clerk where she supervised all permit clerks in the department. In 1989 she was promoted to Assessment Coordinator. She initially worked with three assessment districts, one being the new mandatory solid waste collection and disposal assessment. Her department now consists of two employees; she oversees the assessment rolls for 26 special assessment districts and the budget for 16 of them. Treasa is charged with managing the contract for solid waste collection in the unincorporated area of the County.
