Joseph A. Dionne is a retired Sergeant Major with over 30 years service to the US Army.  He began his service in February of 1969 and retired from the US Army in June of 1999.  He is a graduate of the US Army Sergeants Major Academy at Fort Bliss in El Paso , Texas .  His last 4 assignments in the US Army before retirement include: Chief Instructor, US Army Command Sergeants Major Program at Ft Bliss; Center Sergeant Major, US Army & Korean Army Supply Distribution Center at Taegu, South Korea; Port of Pusan Sergeant Major, Defense Logistics Agency, Pusan, South Korea; and his final assignment before retirement was Sergeant Major, Personnel & Training Division, US Army Reserve, States of Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota.

His civilian work experience is in the area of financial consulting, currency exchange rates, and financial analysis in the Banking and International Logistics field. 

His military education includes United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 44), Noncommissioned Officer Logistics Program, Defense Depot Operations and Management Course, Defense Financial Management Course, Defense Environmental (Hazard Waste) Course, and several other US Army and military service courses.

 His civilian education includes an AA Degree from South Florida Community College and a BS Degree in Business Management/Economics from Florida Southern College.

Sergeant Major Dionne has been awarded the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Army Meritorious Service Medal (3 awards), Joint Services Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4 awards), Joint Services Achievement Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal (2 awards). 

Sergeant Major Joseph Dionne is married to Jeri, who is also a Veteran and was a Specialist 5 in the US Army for over five years.
